HEAD FOUNDER

Julie is a native Wacoan. She has an Accounting/Finance (BBA) from Baylor University. Worked in the area of accounting for 20+ years. She has spent over 25 years equipping all ages to study the Bible. Julie is now following the call from the Lord to start Cornerstone Classical Academy. She is married to Yost and together they have adult twin daughters Lauren and Emily.

Beth has lived in Waco 30 years with her husband, Matt. She homeschooled her four children using a classical Christian curriculum. She obtained a master's degree in classical studies and is currently pursuing a PhD in health sciences. One of her passions is to see the lives of underserved children transformed through the Gospel and classical education. 

Mary is from Waco and followed the Lord's calling to begin her career in education where she served the students of the Waco area through a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and certifications of EC-6, ESL, and GT. She felt the call home to raise her children in their younger years which opened the opportunity to participate in Cornerstone's flourishing. She resides in Waco with her husband Tyler and their two children. 

Having grown up in classical education and participated in the launch of another classical Christian school during her high school years in North Carolina, Susie developed a deep appreciation for Christ-centered learning. She is a Baylor University graduate with a degree in Business Management and has lived in Waco for the past five years, where she currently serves as the Student and College Admin at Highland Baptist Church. Susie is grateful to be part of the Cornerstone team and excited to help cultivate a school centered on Jesus and rooted in truth, goodness, and beauty.

Abby is a speech-language pathologist who earned her MS from Baylor University and currently practices at Baylor Scott & White in Temple.

In her free time, Abby also runs a sourdough bakery and delights in building deep relationships with her neighbors. Married to Zach, she is passionate about making classical education accessible to all children.

Zach earned his BBA in Finance from Baylor University and currently works as the Director of Finance & Talent at a home care startup in Waco, TX. His professional journey has included meaningful work in church ministry, which deepened his commitment to faith-integrated education. Married to Abby, Zach enjoys reading, running and supporting redemptive ventures in the community.
